It is not the first time I used this trick but now I spent lots of time experimenting.
How it works? You need some light sources out of focus. And a shape cut of a paper. You put this paper with the small hole on it in front of the lens – and that’s all. It is a trick that is known for ages, I’ve seen examples of this from the second world war.

Everybody is talking about it – no still pictures, no videos – just a fusion of them.
The technology is ready. However it takes way more time to utilize it and find your vision in this new field.
I’m still resisting and making my first timid step on this unknown road. I’m working on a big international event where I produce complex marketing material. Part of this is a trailer video that introduces the event.
It should be a video however I prefer stills so I made a marriage of the two. There is hundred ways to make a picture. Or a video. Can’t even guess how many way you can mix them!

…it creates special mood for both the participants and the photographer
Participants get excited – that’s clear. And what about the photographer?
He’s crying and laughing at once. Gets desperate and excited. And confused and challenged. And I could write it long…
I was really challenged during Crazy Rhythm Challenge. Light creating flares, lights coming from the wrong way and lighting the wrong spots, no lights at all, too light or too dark scenes. After all I could turn many of these situation to my advantage – watching back these pictures.
I remember how strange people watched me when I was hanging my flash to the ceiling on the top of a ladder …

This happens when you are too fast!
Actually we weren’t fast enough that is why I have these pics. We were trekking close to lake Balaton, Hungary. Most of us were not serious hikers so we were stopping here and there, everybody was dreaming about going back to the lake and have a swim :) Not so good…
Or maybe really good?! 3 of us wanted to make pictures. You never have the time to set up everything, use a tripod, make different variations. But we were so slow that we could play a lot! So we had a good time. I was experimenting blurred pictures combining with flash. This way I could add some dynamic to the journey :)

Suburb is the right place for factories. However lifes changes so factories from 1800, early 1900 are already in the centers as cities grow… It is fine for most cities – these buildings are perfect for loft flats or for art exhibition areas.
Hungarian people are smart one so we rather made a “nice” parking space from this building. Probably I’ve just got tired from all these sad stuff so these pictures could help you less introducing you the place. Hope still the pictures give you joy!

Here is the result! These pictures are captures at Budapest and you can see a modern statue? on the photos. It is for remembering 1956 when we had a revolution. There are hundreds of columns at different distance from each other. I played lot with this topic.

…city just changes. New flavors, different air. Streets shine. For a while there is no many people on the streets. And soon life speeds up again! I like it much!
Probably you realised I could not help using some tools to match what I had in my mind :)

Back at Budapest! Exactly at Embankment of Danube! You can be in the middle of the city you still cannot escape from the power of nature
And you can have any type of topic sometimes you still cannot stop editing it :) I used some sliders to make this picture a ‘bit’ more dramatic.

We can see easily that this is the last port of this ship. It is much harder to see which is the last ‘port’ of our pictures!
Knowing when to finish editing of you pictures you need wisdom and lots of experience. I found quite satisfying the original version of the shots I’ve uploaded now. Still I wanted to add something that match the mood of my topic.
Which one do you prefer? Did I found the right moment to finish editing?

In the last 2 weeks I was on the road. Was driving almost 2000 kilometers at Slovenia an Scotland – and did more pictures than kilometers :)
I did not want to leave you so I made the last postings in advance – and went hunting :)
