One more part from the Mimi session.
We were discussing possible locations for outdoor pictures and selected the seaside with sunset. Can’t go wrong.
We were just shooting and shooting till it was to cold to continue…

In the last days it was so great to think about these photos, that might not be so difficult to capture.
What you can see on the picture is a sunup in Sweden, on the beach. One difficulty could be to get to the beach, far away.
An other challenge to get up. If you want to have great pictures with sunup you have to get up 3-4, get to the location and press the button. If you get up at 3-4 setting your camera isn’t so easy…
There is a solution! What about not going to bed? Just wait until morning comes and make the picture. I found it as difficult as the first option. Unless you have some great parties until morning. Like this occasion. We were dancing till ~5 in the morning and went to the beach by bicycle to make these pictures.
The whole place, time and situation (going from a crazy loud party to the silent calm nature) expressed peace perfectly. Something I missed in the last weeks – till I was thinking about these pictures.

After the short walk – that took long hours – we had to turn back and go home.
Sand changed back to green fields and we still had the golden sunshine! The last pictures are made in a small harbour.

…boring – however one more series of sea shore.
The same water, the same sand – and some different light.
It just makes you start it over – and over!

Back to Norway!
After walking for a while we arrived to a small place where you could clearly see the traces of mankind. A boat, some houses, some trash.
And we found something interesting when we arrived closer – but that will be posted next time.

If you have a simple topic you might feel after some hours that you captured it. And feels great.
What happens when you have lots of topic? You won’t ever feel finishing something. Of course variety can replace creativity as well.
So nothing is free.
In Norway you just walked 5 minutes and the coast has changed dramatically. So “without thinking” you could make many interesting and different photos. However I won’t ever get known what possibilities hide there…

You have your topic. You start to shoot. And you finish. Exactly when?
When you are out of ideas? When you are out of time? When you are out of film / memory card?
We should finish when we completed the topic. When you’ve captured what have to be captured.
The small issue that you hardly ever get a feedback about that…
So I was shooting when we were out of time…

For you it is natural – for me it is special. And what is natural for me is special for you. Like imagine a guy who’s coming from a country without a sea shore.
I’m such a lucky person. So every time I arrive to a sea shore I find it a really special topic!
Here in Stavanger it took a long time till we got to the sea shore at all – so many stuff to stop you…

Probably sunshine, perhaps a sand shore or a boat.

Previously before leaving to an off-line place for a long time I could schedule some posts so you could get new ones daily. Now I had no time. However I’m back – from Octoberfest – with pictures!
But now back to our current topic that is liquid and is made from water as well – and gives lots of joy as well!
